Faith Journey

Womens Retreat 2015This series of twelve weekly gatherings gives those new to St. Mark’s an opportunity to hear each other’s stories, explore questions of faith, build relationships and listen for God’s call. The Sunday Faith Journey group meets from 12:15-1:30pm. The Wednesday group meets from 6:00-7:15pm. A meal is served at both gatherings and childcare is available. For more information click here.

Bible Studies

Sunday, 11am, Parish Commons Classroom
“Crossways” Year 1, a faith-enriching, life-changing course that serves as your “road map” for an unforgettable journey through the entire Bible.  Crossway is a 60-session course, typically taught over two-academic years. “Fully Alive” is a gathering of women who study scripture, pray, and share the ups and downs of life. This Fall the focus will be on Prayer.

Women’s Bible Study gathers around coffee, refreshments and the Word of God. The group studies and shares wisdom from their years of living the Christian faith.

At Bible Study Luncheon men and women read and discuss the scripture texts appointed for the upcoming Sunday. The pastor who will be preaching on the texts guides the conversation.

The Adult Forum provides opportunities to reflect on Christian faith in light of current events and the daily decisions we need to make. Midweek Renewal is a time to be refreshed by the promises of God and our connections with each other. This gathering is nestled between dinner and Prayer Around the Cross. It provides time for a contemplative hearing of scripture, sharing our stories, and gaining insight from those who have gone before us (the man or woman who will be commemorated at the Evening Prayer service).

Monthly Gatherings

Interfaith Bible Study meets Thursdays, once-a-month at 7pm. Join neighbors from St. Luke Episcopal, Temple Beth-El and Bethany Presbyterian in reading and reflecting on the theme: “Finding God in the Other” All are welcome to participate.  Please sign up in the narthex to receive an email with readings and reflection questions.
