Adult Music

Chancel Choir

Rehearsals: Thursdays, 7:30-9:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary

Chancel Choir is for high school youth, college students, and adults.  This choir sings at the 11:00 a.m. service three weeks of every month, September through June.  We are a diverse group of people, some who know how to read music and others that are still learning or don’t know at all!  The music we sing is varied and includes the traditional choral music of the masters as well as contemporary anthems, hymn tunes, spirituals, and more.

Bells of St. Mark’s

Rehearsals: Tuesdays – 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Bell Room

Bells of St. Mark’s is for mature high school youth and adults.  We play for worship as music is learned.  This is an advanced choir, so ringers should have some knowledge of music reading (note-reading learning sessions can be arranged).  Also, because each individual person is an integral part of the melody and harmony of each piece, dependable attendance is required.  We will teach handbell techniques to you.  For more information about Bells of St. Mark’s contact Danielle Lemieux.

Celebration Ensemble

Rehearsals are the 1st Saturday of the month at 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. (in the Sanctuary) and Sunday mornings at 7:30 a.m.

Celebration Ensemble is for mature high school youth and adult vocalists and instrumentalists.  This group leads hymns and liturgy at the 8:30 a.m. service and provide special music when needed.  The music is varied, from global and traditional hymns to contemporary anthems and liturgies.  Because rehearsal time is very limited, members of this ensemble must be able to read music and be comfortable with sight-reading.  For more information you may contact Cooper Sherry.
