Bells of St. Mark’s

Rehearsals: Tuesdays from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.

This group is the most advanced bell choir at St. Mark’s. To be successful, members need to know how to read music and commit to weekly rehearsals, missing when only absolutely necessary. No bell ringing experience is necessary to join – all bell techniques will be taught during rehearsals. If you would like to join but need to learn to read music, note-reading classes can be made available. The Bells of St. Mark’s rehearses weekly, September through May, playing for worship when music is ready. This choir is open to all adults, both members and non-members.

Celebration Ensemble

Rehearsals: 1st Saturday of the month, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. & Sundays 8:00 a.m.

Service Leadership: 8:30 a.m. service, Sunday mornings

Celebration Ensemble is an ensemble of vocalists and instrumentalists that serve through musical leadership for the 8:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday mornings, September through June. Because this group only meets once a month, which means there is limited rehearsal time in which to learn the music, the group consists mainly of people who have good sight-reading skills and previous choral experience. Celebration Ensemble members also collaborate several times a year with other St. Mark’s ensembles for special music.

For more information you may contact Cooper Sherry.
