WHAT IS IT?

A day camp for youth entering the 6th through 12th grades that allows participants to explore the performance and visual arts—theater, music, movement/dance, painting, drawing, textiles, photography, etc.

All campers will choose 2-3 arts that they’d like to learn more about and/or that they are already familiar with.  Participants will be coached by professional and semi-professional artists from the Tacoma community.

This year’s theme is “African Welcome.”  Campers will explore the beauty of African nations, from their stories of life to their music to their visual and folk arts.

WHO CAN ATTEND?

All youth entering the 6th through 12th grades in the 2010-2011 school year.

WHEN?

• Sunday, August 8 – 1:00-6:00 p.m.
• Monday, August 9 – 1:00–6:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, August 10 – 1:00-6:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, August 11 – 1:00-6:00 p.m.
• Thursday, August 12^th – 1:00-5:00 p.m.; 5:00- 6:30 p.m. parent/camper potluck; 7:30 p.m. final program

$75.00 for the week (includes camp t-shirt)
