A place for grace.

Worship Services

Learn more about our weekly worship opportunities.

  • This worship service draws on a wide variety of musical traditions for both hymns and special music – from Scandinavian folk tunes to Asian or Latin American songs of praise; from medieval chants to African American spirituals – celebrating the rich variety of music that God has given to the Church.

  • The singing at this service is led by a band which includes piano, drums, bass guitar, and often another lead guitar or acoustic guitar, blending contemporary music with historic elements of worship that are in all of our services.

  • The 11:00 service offers a continuation of the rich traditions of the Lutheran church which have been preserved over the decades. Traditional hymns, liturgy, organ playing, and worship style represent a celebration of the ways in which many Lutherans have come to worship God for centuries.

  • If you’d like to participate in St. Mark’s worship remotely, both our 8:30 and 9:45am worship services are live-streamed. You can access our services live via Facebook Live or watch them later on in the week via our Facebook page or our YouTube channel.

  • We gather by candlelight around a large cross to sing and pray and to hear words of scripture that nourish our lives. Throughout the year, we draw upon music from the Taize and Iona communities, as well as Evening Prayer settings from Holden Village in Washington.

All Are Welcome

As a diverse community of people drawn together by God’s Spirit, we gladly welcome the gifts of all who join us for worship and witness. In this place for grace, each person’s age, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, spirituality, special interests, and unique abilities enrich us as the Body of Christ.

The center of our life together is Jesus Christ, whose love leads us to affirm our common identity as children of God and to work against racism and all forms of bias, which may be systemic, institutional, and/or personal. We believe that God can heal us and all humankind from fear, prejudice and hate, and we invite you to grow with us in love and grace.
