Youth Music & Arts

St. Mark’s hosts Thursday night youth group and choir each Thursday for youth in grades 6-12. The mission of this night is to provide an inclusive community of holy creative artists learning to give voice to their stories in a safe, nurturing space towards a common goal.

Thursdays

5:30-6:30      Youth Group (grades 6-12) meets in the Parish Commons (1st & 3rd Thursdays only)

6:30-7:30      Youth Choir (grades 6-12) with Cooper Sherry (meets weekly on Thursdays)

7:30-8:30      Youth Marimbas (grades 6-12) meets in the Parish Commons (meets weekly on Thursdays)

Youth Choir

6th-12th grades

Youth Choir is a vocal ensemble for 6th-12th graders that rehearses weekly in the parish commons. The group builds skills toward singing 4-part a cappella music, and welcomes people of all skill levels. Contact Cooper Sherry if you are interested in joining, or simply show up on any Thursday night. All are welcome!

Youth Marimbas

Weekly on Thursdays, 7:30-8:30 pm | Parish Commons
6th-12th grades

Lead by local artist Jeff Brahe, a scholar and performer of the music of Zimbabwe and other African countries, this group learns the exciting possibilities of Marimba Ensemble work together.
