But GROW in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. (2 Peter 3:18)

We are continually formed in faith through the Holy Spirit.  Faith formation at Saint Mark’s includes worship, Sunday school and confirmation, bible studies, and fellowship times for all ages, as well as the work of small groups, mission teams, and committees.

Sunday School: Age 3 to Grade 4

Meets every Sunday from 9:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. (except summer months)VBS-2015-11-1024x683

Sunday school with children ages 3 through 4th grade offers children a welcoming experience of St. Mark’s as a people and a place for God’s grace as they grow and learn in faith and discipleship.

Sunday school is offered September to June from 9:45 until 10:45.  Children take part in age-grouped rooms in the Children’s Faith Center (lower parking lot), using the Spark Activate Faith curriculum and Spark Bibles and Bible-story books.    Music, serving and sharing, and communion are all part of the Sunday school experience with children.

Sunday school begins each September with a blessing for all children and a milestone marker event for beginning preschoolers and their parents.

Many events and activities are planned by various ministry groups throughout the year that nurture your child’s faith by learning, serving, and growing with the community of faith.  Children’s Faith Formation at St. Mark’s involves families and community together in faith in both formal and informal ways.  We recognize the diversity of families and family life and welcome all to see how St. Mark’s is a people and place for God’s grace for all ages.

The Children and Youth Faith Formation Committee engages in the formation of disciples by providing opportunities for children, youth and their families to be nurtured by God’s word and to engage in activities and worship that will encourage Christian growth.  It shall invite, equip and support members for faith formation leadership and make use of appropriate materials in accordance with this congregation’s confession of faith.
